The Shi’a Studies course
is designed to provide visitors with a comprehensive understanding of Shi’a Islam, one of the two main branches of Islam. The course covers the historical development of Shi’a beliefs, practices, and communities. Visitors will explore key figures in Shi’a history, such as the Imams, and learn about important events that shaped Shi’a identity.
The course also examines the theological differences between Shi’a and Sunni Islam, as well as the cultural and social aspects of Shi’a communities around the world.
Through lectures, discussions, and readings, visitors will gain insights into the rich traditions and contemporary issues facing Shi’a Muslims today. This course aims to foster a deeper appreciation for the diversity within the Islamic faith and promote interfaith dialogue.
